Title: A Call to Arms Company: Andres De La Hoz Genre: Action Reviewed By: Redwampa Summary: 8.5/10 Well to start off with I was quite impressed with this movie as the camera shakes and is almost constantly moving with the action. German soldats clash with what appear to be allied resistance fighters in a bombed out town somewhere in Europe (Again not very clear). The basis of the movie is about a French sniper with a Russian accent who is on a mission to assasinate a German commander. Now Ive not seen "Enemy at the Gates" but it sounds very familar to what the preview showed.... guess I'll just have to wait untill I manage to get a hold of it at BlockBuster..hmmm...... Anyway, nice choice of musical scores as themes from "Gladitor" accompany gun battles and views of war torn Europe. But while we're on sound I must say the voice acting is great, especially the sniper even though he doesnt talk that much through the movie. Having Spaz do a voice just kept on making me picture Prof. Spaz somehow stumbling onto the WW1 set and doing a WIB WW1 special, lol, yes I know it was meant to be serious but I couldnt help but laugh... it was the only comic relief I got from the entire movie. I was only dissapointed in the area of plot, from someone who is "ehem"... critical on the subject I was expecting a bit more. But the shoe string plot serves its purpose and I really didnt notice untill I thought back on it and asked "Just what was that movie all about anyway", before I did the review. Bottom Line: Not really a dull moment in the entire movie and a must download for any action fans/WW1/WW2 buffs. P.S: Whats the deal with people talking whilst there laying down? I mean it looks like there having a damn siezure for CRYING OUT LOUD!!! ;)
