Title: Blue Cactus Director: Kirk Donlan Reviewer: Tuna Hematoma Depth - 9/15 Animation - 8/10 Music - 7/10 Sound Effects - 7/10 Balance - 8/10 Innovation - 8/10 Extras - 4/5 Total - 51/70 Another artsy-fartsy type movie this week, maybe not as good as Izak's, but it was still rather entertaining! To start off with the bad parts, even though it wasn't a short movie, it was too short for this type of movie... if ya catch my drift. It should have been longer because I think it could have easily gotten 4 fish then. Also, some of the sound effects were really poorly chosen, because Kirk used default 3dmm sounds, which kind of throws you off when watching the movie. Also, the lack of voice talent, as in, all done by Kirk, somewhat effected the movie, but not a whole lot, just some of the edited voices sounded... strage. Now, for the good parts of the film. The use of echo's was really cool and I think added to the movie. Also, the animation in the movie was interesting, for the ones who saw when this got my pick, that one city scene where it looks like lights from the city. I thought that scene was awesome and very well chosen blocl colours, it was just awesome man! hehe. The use of drama and horror sometimes don't mic well, but in this movie, it really made this movie better I think. In one scene when the guy was walking down the hallway and then a shock technique was used, I thought that was cool, because it actually made me jump... course, having my earphones at full blast probably helped a bit, but you get the point. Also, the conversation between the guy and his kid was another cool part in the movie and another reason why this movie should have been longer. I would have liked to see more of a development with the son and the wife. Who knows, this movie could have gotten 4.5 fish if it was long enough. I really liked this movie, just a shame about them poopy parts, hehe... but yeah, this is one awesome movie that I think everyone should download.
