Title: Kung Fu Company/Director: Peter Wolfendale Genre: Action Reviewed by MidbackMan Summary: Yet another action flick. Average is a good word. Scale: 1 to 10: Very Bad A film of just terrible Quality; Don't bother 11 to 20: Bad A few slightly redeeming qualities but still not worth your time 21 to 30: It's okay Very ordinary technical stats; Not worthless but not great 31 to 40: Good Above average; Usually recommended to the fan of the specific genre 41 to 50: Very Good Well worth your attention; Content and design are spectacular Review: Kung Fu is about a couple of cops in the Drug Squad of their department who are going after a couple of villians who stole a nuke and the good guys have to go stop them from using it. There's a bunch of silly little mistakes I picked up on in this. For instance, they're chasing a nuke down when they're in a drug squad... The license plate on their squad car says that it's in California and in one part of the movie they say that the nuke is strong enough to blow up the east coast... stuff like that. The voices were too low and the acting was feh. The music really didn't fit all that well, better selections could have been made. The graphics were lame at the beginning with lots of premade scenes but got better toward the middle and end with more custom scenery. in fact there were a few custom scenes of cities that looked REALLY cool. Lesse, the story seems fairly plain at first but then at the end it turns into a rip off of The Rock, which isn't bad because some of the scenery looked cool. I thought the end was kind of lame. It's a short shootout and then Alcatraz gets blown up. Story: 5/10 Graphics: 7/10 Creativity: 5/10 Voices: 3/10 Music: 4/10 Total: 24/50 (Twentyfour) The Movies Highs: *Some cool scenery at times The Movies Lows: *Music, voices/acting, premade scenery, music and midis = all feh Bottom Line: The movie looks like a combination of old and new. Old animation style but some good detailed scenery at times. If you like an average action with average graphics, give it a whirl, but it's not anything great.
