Title: Leon Company/Director: Jock Whiteside Genre: Action-Drama Reviewed by MidbackMan Summary: Leon. The Professional. The guy in the Brown Coat. He kills for money. Have you seen the real film? Take the real film & make it into a 3dmm movie, only make it without any real story and bad dialogue and you no longer have an Action-Drama, you have the average 3dmm movie. Scale: 1 to 10: Very Bad A film of just terrible Quality; Don't bother 11 to 20: Bad A few slightly redeeming qualities but still not worth your time 21 to 30: It's okay Very ordinary technical stats; Not worthless but not great 31 to 40: Good Above average; Usually recommended to the fan of the specific genre 41 to 50: Very Good Well worth your attention; Content and design are spectacular Review: The first thing I noticed about this movie was that it's really really neat and seems very organized. Throughout the whole film in fact, you always know where people are, where they're going, what they're doing and what that crap on the wall is. That's missing in a lot of 3dmm movies and I really like this style of movie making. Unfortunately, there were a couple times when someone would walk fairly slow and the angle of the camera was at an angle so you couldn't tell where the person was going exactly but I can only remember one instance of this happening. The guns, like most 3dmm movies didn't look like guns. The pistols were alright but like most 3dmm movies, the machine guns look just silly. It didn't take away from the movie, I'm just looking for crap to make fun of. The music was a mix of good and bad. There were a bunch of really good background themes but there was one song by Limp Bizkit, I thought didn't fit at all. It fit into the movie even less so because the animation of the characters wasn't very fast paced. As for a story or plot. It's pretty limited to Leon getting a contract and going after a guy then a dramatic death scene that was well done but the movie being fairly short and the fact that no character relationship was developed between the character who dies and his wife who he tries to save (if you haven't seen it yet I just ruined it for you). Story: 2/10 Graphics: 9/10 Creativity: 1/10 Voices: 3/10 Music: 8/10 Total: 23/50 (Twenty-Three) The Movies Highs: *Nice Scenery; A very neat & organized feel *Good music The Movies Lows: *Some slow action; Not all that exciting or gripping *Limp Bizkit didn't fit (when you see it you'll understant) *Voices lacked... everything; a little kid's voice playing an adult doesn't work *The most limited story; Just better than being an all out action flick Bottom Line: Nah NOTE TO READER: Take notice that the technical scores are just that: Technical Scores. The review will contain an opinion of how enjoyable the movie was overall. The Tech Scale may not reflect the opinions in the written review. As always if you agree or disagree with any of the opinions or technical scores in this article please feel free NOT to take it up with MidbackMan or the management of Review Central since no one really gives a rats ass about what you have to say.
