Title: Money Talks Company/Director: James Thornton Genre: Action/Drama Reviewed by MidbackMan Scale: 5 to 10: Very Bad A film of just terrible Quality; Don't bother 11 to 20: Bad A few slightly redeeming qualities but still not worth your time 21 to 30: It's okay Very ordinary technical stats; Not worthless but not great 31 to 40: Good Above average; Usually recommended to the fan of the specific genre 41 to 50: Very Good Well worth your attention; Content and design are spectacular Review: Uhh, I have to be honest. At first, this movie impressed me with some good animation of a driving scene and throughout I felt the story was fairly well written, not shakespeare but it at least seemed like the Director knew what he wanted to make. Unfortunately, during the movie, despite it's seemingly good qualities, I was thoroughly bored. The animation of the characters, the "suspense", the shots of the guns... It was all very, very boring to me. It just wan't done right. The story is of a dude who is called by a friend into an alley about an important matter and is given a briefcase. The friend is shot by a couple mystery assailants while the dude hides around the corner, then proceeds to run off after shots are fired but drops his wallet and the assailants find it of course and go to his home. The briefcase is full of money, blah, blah, blah, blah... The tech scores are good but keep in mind (it says this below at the bottom of this review, as well) that they don't reflect my opinion of how I enjoyed the movie, just it's tech scores. Got that, because it's important in this case. If you're looking for a movie that has a good story or animation this could be it but if you want to actually enjoy the movie then this isn't it. Story: 7/10 Animation: 7/10 Scenery: 10/10 Voices: 5/10 Music: 10/10 Total: 39/50 The Movies Highs: *Thought out story - just not thought out to be enjoyable to the viewer *Awesome animated scenery The Movies Lows: *Some bad use of character and/or prop animation *"Feh" voices *Whole movie lacks in what I call a "soul" to make it interesting Bottom Line: Pretty decent movie with a good story. It lacks some things to make it enjoyable and during it I felt rather bored and I think others might feel the same despite a few really cool pieces of scenery which do impress. NOTE TO READER: Take notice that the technical scores are just that: Technical Scores. The review will contain an opinion of how enjoyable the movie was overall. The Tech Scale may not reflect the opinions in the written review. As always if you agree or disagree with any of the opinions or technical scores in this article please feel free NOT to take it up with MidbackMan or the management of Review Central since no one really gives a rats ass about what you have to say.
