Title: Pulp Action Company/Director: David Vecchio Genre: Action Reviewed by MidbackMan Summary: Pulp Action, it's one of those Pointless Action flicks. Some people like it, some don't. Scale: 1 to 10: Very Bad A film of just terrible Quality; Don't bother 11 to 20: Bad A few slightly redeeming qualities but still not worth your time 21 to 30: It's okay Very ordinary technical stats; Not worthless but not great 31 to 40: Good Above average; Usually recommended to the fan of the specific genre 41 to 50: Very Good Well worth your attention; Content and design are spectacular Review: Pulp Action is about an assassin or some kind of hitman who does a job and ends up in jail... escapes from said jail, then is caught again... I have that habit of giving away the whole story in my reviews... Hope I didn't spoil anything. The scenery is nicely constructed and there's lots of props around and in the city, during one scene especially, there's a lot of people around, walking, talking (some nice ambience during that scene) but during most of the scenes the director decided to make us watch every character walk across from point A to point B before the camera angle or scene changed. The music wasn't very great. A couple Offspring songs that didn't fit well and the main theme from Pulp Fiction - I forget the name of it. The voices were pretty good. There was a French (I think) accent on some of the people that went well. The sound effects were pretty plain stuff, mostly stuff from 3dmm and as you can probably imagine, footsteps were used a lot since you have to wait for people to walk across the screen. I don't know if waiting for someone to walk across the screen is more annoying or hearing those god awful footsteps... Story: 3/10 Graphics: 8/10 Creativity: 5/10 Voices: 6/10 Music: 4/10 Total: 26/50 (Twentysix) The Movies Highs: *Nice Scenery *Good Clear Voices for the most part; good accents The Movies Lows: *Voices wee good but there wasn't a lot of dialogue *Kinda slow; have to wait for person to walk across screen a lot *not enough music; musical choices were feh Bottom Line: It's a pretty slow movie. A lot of people will find that very boring. Underneath, it's got an average 3dmm action plot. You decide. The tech scores pretty much agree with my opinion this time. NOTE TO READER: Take notice that the technical scores are just that: Technical Scores. The review will contain an opinion of how enjoyable the movie was overall. The Tech Scale may not reflect the opinions in the written review. As always if you agree or disagree with any of the opinions or technical scores in this article please feel free NOT to take it up with MidbackMan or the management of Review Central since no one really gives a rats ass about what you have to say. That's why you're at this site.
