Title: A Ragtag Group of Rebels Company: Jimmy Pozin Genre: Action Film Reviewed By: Redwampa Summary: Story: 1/10 Animation: 9/10 Scenery: 8/10 Voices: 1/10 Music: 8/10 Total: 27/50 (Its okay) Well a bunch of rebels decide to save the world from freedom and attack a secret US base that holds nerve gas. Only to loose the nerve gas while they make a getaway and then commit suicide by having the pilot blow his head off and crash into a hill. I must say that its extremely well animated, and extremely detailed in some places. But like the ending the beggining of this film blows since obviously it was animated along time ago..... yet seeing LB2 that was animated way before that Im somewhat surprised at just how bad it was. The comedy failed miserably (as does my spelling) in this movie, what little plot that could be found was blown to pieces by the shitty voice acting that tried to move the "plot" along. Again the animation was top notch but it proved to be to repetitive, as they run, shoot, run, shoot, dive, shoot, run, shoot, shoot, shoot, run, run, dive, shoot, die, shoot, run, reload.... nope sorry they had unlimited clips, anyway, run, shoot, run, subliminal gay shot, run, arrive at base. During the fight to the base you can tell the director was either growing tired of making the movie or just didnt care anymore as some scenes were just spinning flattend cubes with the arabs spinning around with it. The base was a nice change in pace for the repetive "box wars" scenery of the outside, I even laughed at the nerve gas scene when one of the arabs just casually handed a canister through what the viewer thought to be a thick glass window after they went though all that trouble to open the coded door. I loved the scene when the Americans were rushing through the exploding base to try and stop the arabs from flying away with the nerve gas. Yet thoughout this entire movie I felt no connection with the characters.... no sort of feelings what so ever, just numbness as the eye candy blazed by. The ending..... well.... I can see the comedy of it...... but It just sucked. I can see the whole comedy aspect of the entire movie and its attempt, but it just failed, everything failed except for the animation and its extreme detail in some places. So to sum up this ohhhhh so negative review, this film seemed more like footstep in 3dmm's constantly acceleration in animation quality, to see how far it can be pushed with self-made scenes and pre-made characters. Pozin succeded in evolving 3dmm farther than even I could of thought possible, sadly everything else was sacraficed. And that, in the end, killed this movie. So was this movie worth the 30mb download on my shitty 28k modem? Well yes and no, yes in the fact of the amazing animation, no because of the additional stuff that I should of gotten a choice of whether or not to download. ----------------------------- P.S: In my view 3dmm still has awhile to go, Ive still yet to see a Jimmy Pozin style movie with selfmade characters, and a decent plot.
