Scale: 1 to 10: Very Bad A film of just terrible Quality; Don't bother 11 to 20: Bad A few slightly redeeming qualities but still not worth your time 21 to 30: Its okay Very ordinary technical stats; Not worthless but not great 31 to 40: Good Above average; Usually recommended to the fan of the specific genre 41 to 50: Very Good Well worth your attention; Content and design are spectacular Review: This film seems more like the beginning of a film or a preview of one when you watch it. The movie isn't all that is this film. There is a readme in the zip that contains the movie as well and it is recommended that the viewer read it before he/she sees the actual film. Although it may or may not have been intended to be an integral part of the movie it still adds a lot to it and is a change of pace from other films. It describes a real life situation that occured recently and sets up the film magnificently. The story itself isn't exactly the best of one's but the way it is presented makes this A+ material. "Rebirth of 3dmm" which should be The Rebirth of 3dmm is a short movie but it still uses the usual assortment of "Pikios-type" animation and scenery that we've come to expect from Adrian's films. There were a few small areas that could use improvement such as when the scenery moved it wasn't all in sync perfectly but there's not much you can do about that, I suppose. Some character animations and positions were a bit weird looking. You may or may not notice but I did. For the most part they were decent enough. The emotions they displayed was also another great aspect that I enjoyed watching. There are no voices to speak of but the music speaks for itself. It plays throughout the entire film and very accurately paints the picture for you even if you were not able to literally see the picture. It was a very good selection of music to say the least. I forget the name of the song but I believe the movie mentioned that it was taken from one of the NUTS movies which as everyone knows has very good music and if you've seen them you should know what I am talking about. I did have one problem with the music. Maybe it was the music or maybe it was the animation or a combination of both mixed with my own feelings but I didn't get a rise from this film. Adrian's Bodily Functions had me sitting on my chair feeling giddy with all sorts of emotion but - at least for me, Rebirth of 3dmm didn't do that the way I had expected an "Adrian Pikios Movie" to do so. Story: 4/10 Graphics: 10/10 Creativity: 10/10 Voices: 0/10 Music: 10/10 Total: 34/50 (Thirty-Four) The Movies Highs: *Great animation of the nicely detailed scenery *Character Emotions are displayed nicely *Excellent Music The Movies Lows: *No voices (that actually might be a high in this case) *Character positioning and movement was sometimes a little odd seeming. Bottom Line: For me, this movie was too short to achieve a Midback's Steakhouse Choice Award and I have to say, although Pikios had made me happy with Bodily Functions, this movie did little to me. Others may feel different about this but hey, this is MY review. It felt like an empty film with no soul. If you're an eye candy enthusiast this may be for you.
