Title: Rebirth of 3dmm Director: Adrian Pikios Genre: Short Film Reviewed By: Redwampa 9.5/10 Ah ha! My first 9.5 score! Muahaahah!! Anyway, like I said on the BB another "one of a kind movie" by Pikios. I didnt get an emotional reaction from it like everyone else on the BB.... maybe its because I was ummmm somewhat immune to its effects, yeah..... because I had already been exposed to it while making NUTS2 (Whps! I lost you, Im talking about the main song in the movie) Ive got a song in NUTS3 that would also fit that movie quite nicely, gotta try that out sometime. Ack! Anyway, back to the review. Like in his other movies this movie combines great shots with superb animation and motion. It developes a since of omunios doom throughout the entire movie and the song really does help reinforce this. I was somewhat surprised at the movies content and ending, firstly I thought it was just going to show all the directors best animation in the entire community or directors and films that have helped 3dmm be "reborn" again...er... something like that, secondly I didnt really know what to expect for an ending but it was satisfying none the less. Thirdly, I had no idea Earth was on the edge of being destroyed. The only times Ive sat back and dwelled on my presence here on Earth or for that matter dwelled on Earth itself as a planet the entire human race lives and depends on was after my Humanities class. I was walking to my car after the professor had lectured about how far our culture has come (In great length), so I thought "I wonder what people will think looking back on us 1000 years from now?", "Will they have blue skys and green grass like we do today?", "Am I privildged to be living on the Earth right now at this very moment?", "What will our society look like in 1000 years?" and "Will movies like "The Matrix" and "A Christmas Story" still be watched?" Fourthly, forget the 3rd point all together and feel nothing but sorrow for me.
