Title: Redux Company: Gorosaurus and Aaron Haynes Genre: Short Film Reviewed By: Redwampa Summary: 9.5/10 An incredible film here from Goro and Aaron with fantastic visuals and extreme animation. The basic plot line is a bunch of hand made characters from the 3dmm community (example: Goro's frog/Aaron's Godzilla/ my squirrels/ Adrians cells..ect...ect..) try to survive a deadly meteor shower pummeling Earth. During this struggle with the elements of space the danger is only hightened when the "Bored with 3dmm Demon" reemerges from the the split open earth to do battle with the hand made characters of 3dmm once again in a final showdown (excuse the pun). I said it once and I'll say it again, this movies strong point is in its visuals, dear god.... words cannot describe them. The stuff I saw on this movie is something I'd never even dreamed off to display in 3dmm. This film is another mile stone in the constant push to make 3dmm do things the designers never even thought possible. The direction is also great, for a time I forgot I was watching a 3dmm movie and it even gave me goose bumps at some points in the film (which is my copyrighted claim to declaring what movies are "great" and what movies are not so great). Anyway, I could go on and on about this films pro's but you just need to see the thing yourself, right now, stop reading and just watch the damn thing because Ive got a spoiler ahead. Alright, for those of you who have seen it I'd like to go into this movies symbolism. Now, I'll admit I didnt get all of it, I mean Ive only seen it once (well...thrice if you count the bug I experienced on scene 39, then on scene 37. Its the expansion packs I tells ya!) but the thing that got me thinking was the ending. You see, after Goro is killed by the 3dmm demon he changes into a HMC and destroys the 3dmm demon. The thoughts I carry away from this is that Goro is the savior of 3dmm by re inspiring people to start making movies again when they see his work. Course, the same could be applied to all the directors who make great films in 3dmm and thus destroy the 3dmm demon. Or it could be symbolizing a new age in 3dmm being born where new directors bring new idea's, concepts, animation that revolutionize 3dmm and how we approach it. Anyway, thats just me thinking..er...typing out loud? Im sure if I watched it a few more times I could finally grasp just what the hell Im trying to form into words but.... well, you get my meaning. Right? In summary, a great film thats worth the download.
