Title: Retrospection Company: Tuna Hematoma and Qaz Genre: Short Film Reviewed By: Redwampa Summary: 8/10 A film about a man, his girl friend, and his other friend Trobber caught in some bizarre triangle of love. The movie is carried out in a "Memento" kind of way meaning you learn the story backwards and everything sort of comes together at the end. I'll admit I didnt see the ending coming, I thought it would be a one track story and it basically was until the end. The highs for this movie would be its voice acting, use of music, and scenery. With the voice acting you had the major parts going to Qaz, Ben Williams, and Tuna who carry out the roles pretty damn well if you dont mind my saying. My favorite character would have to be Trobber....I'll admit though I couldnt stop thinking about Ben Williams film...."Thats all I do"...I think thats the title of it, because the voices were so similar. The voices are also very clear and easy to understand, plus they dont get drowned out by the musical score. Music, the music is noticed but never intrudes on the scenes or distracts you whilst the movie plays on. I found that it only compliments the scenes more than anything. Scenery, nicely done in almost every area of the movie, heck they even had a paper napkin dispenser on a table. All those small details that really do help the film come alive and if just for instant forget your watching a 3dmm film but some inde film. Lows? Well the film was a bit slow paced at times but its quality to detail make up for it. Is it one of my favorites? No. A favorite to me is something I wouldnt mind watching again. This just seems more like a movie I'd find on "LifeTime", and you Americans know what Im talkin about.
