TITLE: Still Motion DIRECTOR: Chris Palmer REVIEWED BY: Chris Palmer (Guest Review) Episode 1: Final Fight This one has Nakita going up against some guy she finds in the streets. No story here, but the execution is rather original. It is told in still images, and is partly based off the 1962 short film, La Jetée. Storyline: 0/10 Visual Appearance: 0/10 Creativity: 4/10 Construction: 0/10 Sound Use: 3/10 Total 7/50 (Very Bad) Episode 2: Invasion This one has more of an attempt at storyline, and some rather lame jokes, as Aliens appear to mine the Earth. Has text narration. Storyline: 3/10 Visual Appearance: 0/10 Creativity: 4/10 Construction: 0/10 SOund Use: 4/10 Total: 11/50 (Bad) Episode 3: Man Chopping Down A Tree This one is based on a poem I wrote about the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center. The text narration is the text of the poem, but those who don't like to watch something consisting mainly of text on a black background better stay clear. It is, however, an improvement on the last one in the fact that none of the scenes it does have are prerendered. Storyline: 5/10 Visual Appearance: 3/10 Creativity: 4/10 Construction: 2/10 Sound Use: 0/10 Total: 14/50 (Bad) Overall Total: 10.2/50 (Very Bad) However, these are just technical scores and have no actual reference to the overall appeal. The Movies' Highs: *Original execution idea The movies' Lows *Not much sound *May get boring seeing characters stand around for a while. Bottom Line: Keep an open mind when watching.
