Title: The Burgle Company/Director: Genre: Pointless Action Movie Reviewed by MidbackMan 5/10 Review: The Burgle is a pretty average action movie. It's nothing special. It doesn't even have any type of intro and in the movie, I wasn't even told who directed the damn thing! It starts in a kind of stupid way that put me off. In some premade city scenes, a guy is attacked by a dog and apparently either it's illegal to let a dog attack you or it was a police dog because a cop came about and told the main character (played by the 3dmm character Patrick) to freeze and then a case ensued. They ran through the premade city for a bit until I was just about getting sick of seeing it when they changed scenery around. After a while the guy was caught and thrown into the slammer and the movie ends there. It definitely fits into that pointless action movie demographic. The title does have some relevance to the movie, sort of... The main character in the movie burglarizes a safe from inside a restaurant AFTER he was already being chased. The animation was what I could compare to probably the action Joe series. It wasn't exactly the same style as the Action Joe movies but it did have a few of the same qualities. The few custom scenes in the film were done a bit better than the now old AJ movies and the animation felt a little faster. The movie had no heart, though. What it did have was a lot of what I like to refer to as "newbie tricks." Newbie tricks are tricks that newbie directors think are good ideas that don't really improve the movie. For instance, in almost every scene where there could be people, there were tons of them. There were 3dmm characters abound everywhere! In the restaurant, every seat was full. In the airplane every seat was full. In the city, every corner had people standing or doing some type of 3dmm motion. The Burgle ran through like any pointless action movie. Btw, when I say "action" it doesn't necessarily mean there was a gunfight. There wasn't. The first non-violent action movie! But, like I said, it didn't truly feel as if it had a soul. Watch it if you want but don't expect anything amazing.
