Title: Hangman Company/Director: Frogman Studios Genre: The What I call "The Ben Williams Genre" or the "Hasn't Ben Williams made enough of these types of movies Genre". It's one of those Weird one's that has a twist ending. Reviewed by MidbackMan Scale: 5 to 10: Very Bad A film of just terrible Quality; Don't bother 11 to 20: Bad A few slightly redeeming qualities but still not worth your time 21 to 30: It's okay Very ordinary technical stats; Not worthless but not great 31 to 40: Good Above average; Usually recommended to the fan of the specific genre 41 to 50: Very Good Well worth your attention; Content and design are spectacular Review: Hangman! ha! It laughs in the face of other movies of the same genre. Ben Williams who? This is my first 3dmm movie review in a while (it's 2/04/02 and i've not written another review for months) cuz I've gotten very lazy but I thought this deserved one. And it does. The first thing I noticed and really liked was the music. It's got some very cool music from Deus Ex, which reminds me a bit of Blade Runner. They both had a very similar, dark style to them that i liked and the Deus Ex music seemed to fit perfect with this movie and it set a pretty eerie tone. The movie is a bit weird, though... Hangman is what this dude plays. He plays it with some other ominous dude who'll you'll recognize as what I assumed was Beelzebub, the soul stealing dude. If he wins he gets something from this dude that's really cool. If he loses, well, i dunno what would've happened if he lost cuz he wins and that's what's important - my spoiler. But there's still more to it than that, cuz this guy's the devil. He ain't gonna just let this guy be cool, oh no! The ending is pretty f'ing cool if you ask me and you'll just have to see it for yerself, bitch! 'sides the movie's music, it had original sound effects and some pretty decent acting by Frogman himself, who throughout the whole movie seemed to enjoy quoting some scary little poem (of which i am unfamilar but it sounded cool and scary so I liked it.). All in all, I had seen no real downsides to this movie and the only way I would have seen any is if I was purposely looking for them. This movie's got some cool scenery and animation, great sounds and voices and also some awesome music that I was just waiting for SOMEONE to use in a 3dmm movie (and it was done very well). I'm awarding this with my Midback's Steakhouse Seal of Approval! That means, in case you didn't know, GO WATCH THIS FUCKING MOVIE YOU TWAT! Story/Flow: 10/10 Animation: 10/10 Scenery: 10/10 Voices: 10/10 Music: 10/10 Total: 50/50 The Movies Highs: *I'm getting sick of these high/low things. Look, it's ALL good! Every bit of it! The Movies Lows: *sick. don't feel like mentioning lows. can't find any anyway. no point in looking. Bottom Line: blah blah blah if you like short-ish movies with cool endings that make you go "that was cool" then you'll very much enjoy this movie.
