Title: The Life of Augustus Director: Charles DeVillier Genre: Comedy/Drama Type: Community Reviewer: Tuna Hematoma Depth - 12/15 Animation - 7/10 Music - 6/10 Sound Effects - 6/10 Balance - 6/10 Innovation - 6/10 Extras - 5/5 Total - 48/70 We got another community movie on our hands, but this one is actually different from all the rest... and yes, that is a good thing. As the title shows, it's the life of Augustus and Charles (that may name too... A-hyuck!) said it will appeal to the ones who are fans of the "3D Talk Live" shows. Now, I haven't seen many of them, but they're not too bad, so I'm not sure if all the characters are based around the show... Anyway, the writing for this movie was actually pretty well done. It involves a power hungry boss, trying to ruin a show (starring Augustus), the studio trying toget rid of Brix and the stalking of Augustus. It does involve more little subplots, but those are the main ones. The only problem is, that the movie wasn't directed in that great of a way. It's the type of movie that needs many different camera angles to keep the audiences attention. There was different camera angles, but too many times the camera just sat there, or they copied the same scene, not changing it at all. Yeah, so this is a pretty good movie, the writing is excellent for a little community based movie. If Charles can get a little better at his direction, I think he could be one good director. I look forward to seeing his future works.
