I could best describe it by saying that it's kind of like NUTS in the way that it's (going to be) part of a series that will eventually tell more and more of a story. The first movie is here and I don't know how many more of these there will be but there better be more, because alone, this movie isn't enough. And honestly, I really like this movie's Directing. The Director has some skills. The music was great, The animation was good, The scenery was hella-cool, and the backgrounds in some of the scenes were really awesome to look at. The voices were probably one of my only gripes. They weren't what I would call "top notch" and in some areas there were necessary text boxes just to tell what one person was saying. The voices you could hear the best were cheesy dialogue that really didn't help the story since the movie doesn't give enough away for the voices to be effective. The last bad thing I have to mention about the movie is the sound effects. In some areas there seemed to be missing a sound effect. I don't know if it was on purpose, but it made it seem a bit lacking when one of the guys was killed by a laser gun and no sound played. Even with that one little thing, the movie wasn't ruined by the sound effects. It seemed to be all about the fact that the story wasn't enough. It got us hooked but then let us go before we learned anything about the movie. Lonely Planet has some great effects but was just too damn short. It would've gotten my Seal of Approval if the story was a bit more involving in the first episode. Story: 5/10 Animation: 10/10 Scenery: 10/10 Voices: 5/10 Music: 9/10 Total: 39/50 The Movies Highs: *Great Scenery & Good Animation of Props *All Prop Characters/ Very Original Design *Directing that's entertaining to watch The Movies Lows: *Story doesn't tell enough/ More like a preview than a full movie *Sound Effects lacking in a couple areas Bottom Line: Very entertaining to watch. Too short in the story area to give my Seal of Approval but if the sequels are anything like this, when they come out put em together and you'll have a great series, I'm positive. Hell, people could be comparing this to the NUTS series if the rest of the movie(s) tell more of the story. NOTE TO READER: Take notice that the technical scores are just that: Technical Scores.
