Title: Of Minds and Darkness Director: Andres De La Hoz Genre: Short Thriller Reviewed By: MidbackMan 6/10 When this movie starts you're shown a small little clip of an intro and then after the opening credits the movie starts us in a room where a bunch of men are talking about being rich and splitting up money. From that you still don't get the connection between the men or what they're doing. The point still doesn't become clear until the mystery of the movie is solved. Of Minds and Darkness is about some hired assassins (or something like that) who kill some dudes and go to get some money. They split up for some reason, to look for someone or something and get killed one by one until the time when the killer is announced to the audience and then dispatched in a pretty predictable fashion. The movie was like that and that's a good word to describe it. Predictable. It was still pretty good. It wasn't up to the normal "Andres De La Hoz" Thriller Story and I would rate this as average but the music gave it an eery feeling that made me want to see more. Here's a random thought that just popped into my head that I want to share with you. I don't know if having eery music is a trait of good directing skills or just something anyone can add to a movie and it will automatically make it a "good" movie. At the end of the credits Andres leaves a note that this movie sucks. I don't know if it sucks but it feels really... done.
