The last movie of Jimmy Pozin's I saw was the unfinished version of Litterbug 2. It wasn't such a bad download and with my wonderful cable internet, I had no trouble getting it and I was happy cuz it had a good song for some fast action and good, fast animation. RtgoR is just as fast action as LB2 but the file size was humongous and really a big turn off for a LOT of people. There's a shit load of extras that came with the movie, including a folder with a couple reviews from Andres De La Hoz and a few megs worth of useless images no one cares about and a bunch of 3dmm files with previews and deleted scenes and the like. It all comes out to aobut an extra 20-30 megs unzipped and the movie itself is about around there so if you're a 56ker u can see why people wouldn't want to download this movie. I don't know if anyone else has done this but I sent Will Maltby, owner of 3dmm.co.uk (if u didn't know) a copy of Ragtag without all of the extra crap and he might have that particular version up on his site for slower people. If anyone else has done it too, good for them - it'll help out a lot of people. Anyway, about the movie: there's something that I noticed bothered a lot of people when they reviewed this movie and it kinda of made me wonder why the Director did it. Near the beginning, there's some really crappy scenery that looks like was made ages ago but then the rest of the movie starts to get good. It's as if he started a long time ago and when he did, he sucked at the time and then magically got good and finished the movie. But, he made LB2 so long ago and that movie had great animation. How did he start good, get worse, then better again? Someone explain this to me... It's not something that totally ruins the movie but it seemed like something worth mentioning because so many seemed bothered by it. The rest of the movie is great and there's no stopping Jimmy Pozin's amazing animation skillz that will surely r0x0rz y0r b0x0rz! There are some scenes, more detail and kickassness than anything I've seen. There's one particular scene where a building inexplicably just explodes in the most detailed explosion scene I've ever seen in 3dmm. It was great! It just makes me wonder what was up with those scenes at the beginning... Then also near the end was another great scene where some Arab guys who the movie is about, try to escape with some barrels of something on a chopper and the chopper is being shot at from everywhere. It's full of detail and everything is moving. Great! The Story is almost non-existant since it's a pointless action movie but simplistic isn't bad. It's good. I like Simplistic. In a funny voice some Commander Arab guy says to his fellow Arabs, "We may be just a ragtag group of rebels now but we'll fight for our freedom and stuff." (or something like that) and I thought that gave it a really light tone to go with the fast action which made us even more excited to watch the action and shooting and killing. Great Movie, I'm awarding with My Personal Seal of Approval, the Midback's Steakhouse Seal of Approval. Story: 7/10 Animation: 10/10 Scenery: 9/10 Voices: 10/10 Music: 10/10 Total: 46/50 The Movies Highs: *Really Awesome Effects of splashing blood and crap while guys run around all crazy like and shoot other guys who are running around all crazy like and bleeding. The Movies Lows: *First Couple scenes totally SUCK and are just a spinning, flattened sphere. Why the fuck did he leave those in the movie boggle my mind... The director's an idiot I guess if he didn't think anyone would notice the difference. Bottom Line: Eh, if you find the "non-DVD" version I gave to Will Maltby or if someone else has uploaded the movie without all of it's extra not-so-deleted scenes then it's worth downloading as a fast paced action movie. If yer a fast ass cabler I'm sure you won't care about the extra-large download but you won't watch that crap anyway.
